According to the vivid imaginations of our in-house artists, the Hanko Demons resided in the port town of Hanko, Finland in the year 2058. Yes you read that correctly. The Demons were judge, jury and executioner to any purveyor of inferior speed metal music, of which unfortunately there were many. In fact ‘it is said’ that at the time, the numerous graveyards encircling the town were overflowing with the musically challenged. The demons wore elaborate clothing and intricate head gear and had horns that they could manipulate with their thoughts. They were renowned among Finland’s musical elites for their white noise, but also for their powers of persuasion, especially when it came to ’The Bleeders’ - those lesser mortals in the community who were perceived to be tone deaf. The Demons would offer the ill-fated musicians an opportunity to live, should they master a peculiar guitar riff where 27 chords are played simultaneously as one high pitched sound at volume 11. Needless to say, most Bleeders failed and were subsequently hung from their guitar strings by their genitals until they bled out. The very few that managed to crack the riff were inducted into the Demons' lair and could live out the rest of their lives with joy in their hearts. This image is of an envisioned Hanko Demon.
